Free Viral Traffic Ode

Getting Free Viral Traffic Using Automated Visitor Referral Systems

Would you like to get unlimited viral traffic to your site, for free?

It sounds too good to be true, of course. Many companies will promise to do this for you. The catch - you have to put a banner ad, text link or popup on your page. This is not a good deal as it will increase your traffic by only 1% to 2% on each level. Furthermore, it involves the hassle of an affiliate programme.

However, it is possible for you to get free viral traffic to your site using the visitors you have. All you have to do is make it easy for them to tell their friends about your site. (Note that this tactic may not work if your site is a boring one and your visitors have no intention of telling their friends about your site.) Normally, it is too much trouble to shoot off an email. Therefore, if you want news of your site to spread rapidly by word of mouth, you must make it easy for your visitors to refer their friends to your site. The easiest way to do this is using a form. All they need to do is fill in their name, email, and the emails of a few friends, then hit the button. A quick email will be shot off to their friends with a link to your site. To have this kind of form, all you need is a HTML editor to make the form and a script to process the mailing.

The easy part is making the form. However, having a script to process the mailing is far harder. This will definitely create plenty of problems for you, unless you find a free service which will provide the mailing script. Also, it would be nice if that service could throw in a free form-building tool.

There is no shortage of such services; but most of them cleverly include a banner ad as part of the form built for you. Having seen many such services, I have made one which DOES NOT force you to put an unwanted ad on your page!

Enter TechnoSoft21 ViralTraffic, the all-new free service which provides a form-builder and a form processing script to anyone who needs it. All you need to do is head to the site, fill out a form which generates the code for you, then copy and paste the code into your own website. When you view your site, you will see that it DOES NOT have a banner ad or any other ad on it! You will be ready to get the tidal wave of traffic to your site! To get started, just go to http://www.technosoft21.com/viraltraffic/

P.S. If for some reason or another you don't want to use TechnoSoft21 ViralTraffic, you will probably have to construct your own form processing script in FrontPage WebBots, PHP, CGI, Perl, C, AppleScript, Python or another language. (TechnoSoft21 ViralTraffic is powered by PHP scripts.) It's tough work, but it's fun. If you're game enough... go for it!

AdWords Selecting Ode

Google's AdWords Select(tm) Groundbreaking Program

One of the absolute best online marketing processes available to any business today is Google's AdWords Select advertising program. It produces immediate results within minutes after being setup, drives highly qualified traffic via selected keywords and can be monitored and modified on a 24/7 basis via Google's excellent online interface. There are no hidden fees - it costs a mere $5. USD to setup a campaign and requires a credit card submission at startup. We highly recommend this interactive marketing process to all of our clients and incorporate an AdWords Select component with all of our marketing campaigns.

Google's Pricing Model

Google charges you on a CPC ("Cost per Click") basis - you only pay for each clickthrough to your web site from Google's, no more no less. You don't pay for "impressions" (number of times someone views your ad) like many first generation Internet advertising models - it's truly a results driven marketing process.

Keywords costs can vary tremendously ranging from $.05 to $11. USD or more per keyword - Google assigns a "minimum cost per click" for specific keywords based on "market value" and "performance history" via Google's AdWords Select program history. Be prepared to pay a much higher rate for very popular keywords and this is a moving target all of the time - the more popular this program becomes the more you will be forced to pay for selected popular keywords.

Creating your Sponsorship Ad

Your Ad's position is based on a combination of the CPC ("Cost per Click") you selected and relevancy of your ad - if your ad and keywords are relevant and drive clickthroughs, then your ad will rise in position on the sponsored column versus your competitors. This is an innovative feature and helps to distinguish Google's program from all other PPC ("Pay per Click") campaigns (Overture and their primary competitors) - most of these programs have an "economic bias" built into them; i.e. whoever pays the highest fees gets the top placement.

Dynamic Ad Placement

Google's unique AdWords Discounter keeps track of your costs per click versus your competitors. You select the maximum amount you want to pay for your keywords and the ranking algorithm keeps track of your keyword costs, ensuring you only pay one cent above the CPC ("Cost per Click") cost you specified when you setup the campaign versus your competitors.

Setup Process - Sponsored Link Ad and Keywords

AdWords Select is based upon driving highly targeted traffic to a web site via a set of keywords that are selected via Google's account management interface. There are two primary components to the setup process, creating your "sponsored link" ad and selecting your keywords. You start by creating a "sponsored link" ad that is subsequently inserted into Google's search results on the right hand column - targeted by keywords that you have selected. It only takes a few minutes to have your campaign go "live" after you've completed the setup process.

It's very important to spend quality time creating your sponsored link as this is the "online ad" that people will view in the midst of search results and competing sponsored links (in some cases). You have the ability to create a short headline coupled with two lines of text with approximately 35 characters per line - the headline must be succinct and hard hitting and the related text should backfill the headline with supporting words that convey what goods or services your company provides.

Keyword selection can be the most daunting task for setting up a new campaign - be prepared to spend some focused time working through multiple keywords to find those that you can afford. It typically takes 1-3 hours to find 10-20 keywords that are relatively low cost - however, if your budget is open-ended and you have sufficient marketing funds to pay $1-8. USD per keyword then it can take much less time. Your market focus is also another important variable that can impact the keyword selection process - if you're in a narrow market niche with only a small number of competitors then it is much easier and faster to setup a campaign.

Finally, be aware you can find some keywords that are very inexpensive, but Google will disallow these if they don't drive a minimum clickthrough amount of roughly less than 1% - you can start off with them, but they will be turned off after 7-14 days if they aren't driving sufficient clickthrough volume.

Wordtracker Keyword Research Tool

You may want to utilize other keyword analysis tools that will give you a broader selection and help you to understand what keywords are popular and searched on, which in turn ensures the keywords you do select will drive traffic and will not be disallowed by Google. Wordtracker (www.wordtracker.com) is an industry standard keyword analysis tool that those of us in the online advertising world (and many others) have used for years to help us understand what keywords are popular - their service is very low cost and easy to utilize via their web site.

Domain Expired Poem

New Service To Capture "Recycled Traffic"

Find Expired Domain Names with Built-in Traffic and Search Engine Listings

The most valuble commodity on the internet today is search engine traffic. Unfortunately, most of the traditional options for developing search engine traffic are expensive and time-consuming: You can pay large fees to a search engine optimization firm, bid for high placement on the major engines, or pay $299 to Yahoo (and wait a few months) to be listed in their directory.

Now, an innovative new service offers a better solution: Purchase "Recycled Traffic". Every day, hundreds of domain names are left to expire by their previous owners. Many of these domain names are already listed in Yahoo and other directories, and some receive search engine traffic. Rather than condemn all of these would-be visitors to frustration and a "Page Not Found" error, why not purchase the expiring domain and graciously redirect them to your own site?

This is the insight behind Recycled-Traffic.com, a new service offering a user friendly, searchable index of expiring domains. The site’s search tool lets webmasters find expiring domains according to keyword and search engine ranking.

For example, a recent client searched the listings to see if they could pick up a little recycled traffic for Sedo.co.uk, a leading domain broker, and found the name "CCWorld.cc", formerly a site selling .cc domain names ("hey, perfect!") with a respectable link popularity of around 700. Sedo.co.uk dropped a few bucks to renew the name, and CCWorld.cc now sends about 25 targeted visitors per day their way. Not too bad for less than 10 bucks a year!

You can try out the search engine yourself for free at http://www.recycled-traffic.com/, but the actual domains are hidden until you become a member.

Author, Steve Palmer, has been a part of the dot com start-up craze for the past 5 years. A business development and marketing wiz, Steve has a knack for recognizing evolving internet trends and capitalize on them with methodical drive: http://www.recycled-traffic.com.

Driving Web Traffic Opus

Driving Qualified Traffic Using Directories

Some education is essential to enlighten you about this form of interactive marketing. Directories aren't Search Engines; they are web sites or information portals which use analysts on staff to review submissions from companies who want to be listed in their Directory. Yahoo would be the penultimate example of this type of a portal. But there are literally thousands of other sites that group and list web sites based on their analysis criteria. Here are some tips garnered from years of providing these services to our clients.

1. How do you find Directories? I don't have an easy solution for you, as we've spent years developing and refining (ongoing) our own list of Directories. But, look around on the Internet using Search Engines to find popular sites that list resources in your vertical market segment.

2. Directory listings are a great value, as they provide a long-term listing, unlike Search Engine rankings which are much more volatile. Once you achieve a listing you are typically locked into a Directory's database for a very long time.

3. Let's start with the twenty-ton gorilla in this market, Yahoo! Spend time carefully reviewing their various categories, then take the plunge and use their "Business Express" service which costs just under $200. (USD) to submit your site. Don't, I repeat don't submit unless you have carefully analyzed where you belong in their huge category selections; if you make a mistake you only have one chance to get a new or revised listing, as they aren't very forgiving of those who don't do their homework before submitting.

4. Be patient when submitting to Directories, as most are getting tens or hundreds of thousands of submissions per day - it will take 30-90 days to actually get listed. Keep an accurate record of sites you have posted to and then check back 60-90 days later and resubmit if necessary, but don't spam them, as this will not garner any results.

5. Never submit a site unless it is ready for primetime, with no broken links, under construction pages, incomplete text, graphics that aren't loading properly, etc. Indexers are very busy, once they see a site which has problems they will click to the next entry on their list and your hard work is to no avail.

6. Be prepared with the proper marketing materials for this type of a campaign, including a working title for your site which is 6-8 words, several groups of keywords that are separated by commas and spaces of varying lengths, approx 10-20 and 30-75 keywords, and a longer description of your site which can be one to two sentences.

7. Part of the required expertise involved in this process is in the actual category selection - carefully select which category or categories where you think your site fits by looking at others in this category to determine if you fit into this classification.

8. Be aware we are seeing a shift to fee-based submissions to shortcut the process - Yahoo started the trend over a year ago, now LookSmart and other top tier Directories are starting to do the same. The tradeoff is of course minimizing time to market - we recommend using the commercial services to our clients.

9. Want to know if this process has actually done anything for you? Check your log files or web site analysis software and look at where your traffic is coming from.

10. If you are getting significant traffic from a small list of Directories you may want to go back to their web site and pay for their premium listing services to drive more traffic. These enhanced listings services typically enable you to bold your listing or add graphical content which enhances the textual description, usually only for a few hundred dollars per year.

Free Web Traffic Verse

Get Over $100 Worth Of FREE Traffic - No Strings Attached!

You've probably heard a lot of talk about pay-per-click search engines lately.

The principle is pretty simple. Firstly, you open an account with the search engine. Once you have an account you can bid on relevant keywords to get a high ranking in the results when someone searches for those keywords. You only pay when your listing in the results is clicked.

The advantages of pay-per-click search engines are that you get highly targeted traffic and you get to decide how much you're willing to pay for that traffic.

Now pay-per-click search engines are great when your business is up and running. You know which keywords bring the best prospects. You can predict how many of those prospects are going to buy your e-book.

However if you're just starting out you may not be sure if investing in pay-per-click search engine ranking is worth it and you may not be sure which keywords bring in the most orders.

Well, the good news is that you can find out for free.

There are quite a few pay-per-clicks out there that will let you open an account for free AND they'll give you an opening balance to get started.

That means you've got the opportunity to try out pay-per-clicks and test your keywords without spending a dime.

Here are some of the sites that will give you a free opening balance (the amount on offer is in brackets):
http://www.zugbo.com ($10)
http://www.searchbidder.com ($5)
http://www.sellingcircle.co.uk ($5)
http://www.simplesiteuk.com ($5)
http://www.metaeureka.com ($5)
http://www.lookforstuff.com ($10)
http://www.linkmodule.com ($10)
http://www.helavasearch.com ($10)
http://www.go2simon.com ($10)
http://www.4portalsites.com ($10)
http://www.ban-x.com ($25)

That's over $100 worth of free traffic.

With keyword minimum bid prices starting at $0.01 in many cases, that could result in a lot of highly targeted traffic for free.

Just be sure to choose your keywords carefully. Make sure they're relevant to the e-book you're promoting. There's no point in attracting traffic that will not be interested.

And there you have it. Free targeted traffic with no strings attached!

By the way, it's worth noting that there are many more pay-per-click search engines that will give you a bonus when you open an account and deposit some money for bidding. Some of them offer up to 500% of your deposit amount. So, for example, if you deposit $10, they will add $50 to your account.

Try the free ones first. Then when you see how things pan out, you can start putting some money in.

Finally, always be sure to check what each pay-per-click engine is offering before you sign up. Things change fast on the Internet. A good place to find out everything about pay-per-click search engines is at http://www.payperclicksearchengines.com.

I hope you find this tip useful. Please don't hesitate to contact me with your comments, questions or suggestions.
